The Attestor Forensics PHOTOvent LH151 provides a professional photography workstation with downdraft filtering. A DNA easy clean stainless steel surface and motorised precision camera/table positioning provide a professional high end photography platform. The system also comprises of a lighting and accessory shelf with mains power rail. Ideal for use with the DCS system or any other imaging or camera screening system.
PHOTOvent‘s special integrated filter system is built right into the work surface itself. Fumes and loose particulates like dust and fingerprint powders get pulled down into our multi-stage filter system to reduce the risk of inhalation and contamination without needed any external ventilation hookups.
Our PHOTOvent workstations come in two sizes and have fixed height or motorized height adjustable options so they can be used sitting or standing. They also have a camera column with manual or motorized height adjustment options, depending on the needs of your camera system.
The stainless steel work surface is easy to clean, durable, and can withstand harsh cleaning peroxide and alcohol solutions needed for DNA decontamination.
The stainless steel covered working surface of both models can be adjusted electrically and contains a downdraft venting system, consisting of a pre-filter mat type F5 and a fine particulate dust cassette H13. An electrically movable camera arm with a control unit for coarse and fine movement (with an accuracy of approx. 0.3mm) allows accurate camera positioning. A shelf for accessories such as light sources that moves along with the camera arm and features a cable chain for secure stowing of connection and power leads prevents camera connectors to be damaged by blockages caused by too short cables during camera arm movement.

PHOTOvent – DCS compatible Photography workstation with downdraft filter
The work surface of PHOTOvent has been made from high-quality stainless steel to create a durable work surface that can easily stand up to the alcohol and peroxide-based cleaning agents often used for DNA disinfection.
For users who do not wish to photograph evidence with the workstation surface as a background, we can also supply a 50x50cm large evidence surface with a printed scale, available in either matte black or white.
Should you require further customization, our EVIscreen modular camera column systems and can be customized to your specific needs to create a fully custom workstation to suit your needs. Contact us for assistance ordering a custom option.
The PHOTOvent has two different filter stages. The H13 HEPA filter cassette can easily become saturated quickly when it is the only filter used, so we also include a pre-filter mat to filter out larger particulates that could quickly cause the HEPA filter to need replacement. This prolongs filter life and reduces the operating cost.
The pre-filter mat should be replaced after 250 hours of use. The HEPA filter is equipped with a sensor that will cause the system to notify the user when it is time to change the filter. The filter life will depend on the type of evidence being processed and how often it is used. Independent of the filter saturation, the filters should be replaced at least every 12 months.
Changing the prefilter mat and filter are both very simple. This can be done by any user in less than a few minutes and requires no special tools or training.
The PHOTOvent is a low maintenance system. Aside from regular cleaning, users simply need to change the filter and pre-filter mat when required. For quality assurance, we recommend that the unit be serviced regularly.
For customers who require documented annual servicing and calibration as part of their ISO 17025 accreditation, we offer service contracts for regular service. More information on this can be found under Service & Maintenance.
