Innovative Modular Design
MOBIfume standard orders come with a wireless tablet and two complete fuming units. Each fuming unit is a modular all-in-one system that can be connected to the tablet wirelessly and run a full fuming cycle. Settings for the cycle steps, including the humidification, fuming, and purge cycle can all be monitored and adjusted via the tablet and more than one unit can be run at once, even if different cycle settings are needed.
While MOBIfume can be used in smaller simple spaces like fuming tents, our modular and scalable systems allow for greater flexibility perfect for the complex aspects of crime scenes. Different crime scenes may have different shapes, sizes, and many different materials. You can’t always adjust the crime scene to fit your equipment, so MOBIfume lets you adjust the equipment to fit your crime scene.
In addition to being advantageous at complex crime scenes (like drug labs, where there may be many cables and sheets of plastic present that need to be developed), MOBIfume can be an advantage when large bulky pieces of evidence need to be treated. Evidence can be treated right at a scene without the risk of damaging or dismantling it to get it to a lab before fingerprints get developed.
Innovative Control System
MOBIfume is controlled via a large rechargeable multilingual full color touch screen tablet. Once fuming units are connected to power, the tablet connects to the MOBIfume fuming units wirelessly. Users can control units individually, form groups of them and run them all with the same settings, or run different units with different settings at the same time if needed.
In addition to the pre-programmed setting options, users can also fully customize their cycle settings to adjust for different spaces, different evidence types, and even different types of developers. All steps of the development process can be monitored via the tablet and even adjusted during a cycle if needed.
For those who need to fume evidence in spaces where it is difficult for a wireless signal to travel, we also offer the option to connect the tablet to our wireless transmitter via cable to extend the signal range without having to worry about wiring and sealing cable lines in a room of evidence.
Scalable Concept
MOBIfume standard orders come with a wireless tablet and two complete fuming units. Each fuming unit is a modular all-in-one system that can be connected to the tablet wirelessly and run a full fuming cycle. A single fuming unit can fume a room 50 – 60  m³. Adding another unit makes it possible to fume 100 – 120  m³ of space. Thanks to our modular and scalable design, users can connect up to 99 fuming units to a single tablet at once, allowing large garages and even many different rooms in a building to be fumed at the same time.
Users can choose to run units all using the same cycle settings, or they can customize the parameters for individual units or large groups of units and run different development cycles at the same time from a single tablet. This is useful for fuming multiple areas at the same time, and for fuming complex crime scenes. Many crime scenes, especially in residential areas, have a lot of variety in the shape of the space and the material in that space.
Materials in different parts of a room can make it advantageous to have units with different humidity settings set up in different areas of the room, and rooms with complex shapes can benefit from being able to position units where there are most needed.
Innovative Filter Management
Just like our other cyanoacrylate fuming systems, MOBIfume systems utilize a high quality low-dust carbon filter for removing cyanoacrylate from the fuming area after a cycle is completed. This filter is highly effective at purging the chamber air, meaning no addition external ventilation system is required, and the filter can quickly be swapped out without any tools when it’s time for a filter change. Our modular design also lets users swap parts between different fuming units if needed.
The highlight of our filter system is the filter management program. Many cyanoacrylate fuming systems on the market simply estimate when the filter is likely to be used up based on the worst case scenario—that a user will be using the maximum recommended amount of developer every time and the type of developer being used will be the one most taxing on the filter system. This means that most systems tell users to change their filter long before it is actually saturated, increasing costs and labor.
At Attestor, we believe that accuracy is important, so we’ve designed a filter management system that better keeps track of the true filter life your system has. Users can tell the system exactly what kind of cyanoacrylate developer they are using and how much of it they are using, and the system will automatically calculate and adjust and track the filter saturation. It will let users know when the filter is nearly full, so instead of throwing away a half-used filter, users can ensure that they are getting the most out of their system.
MOBIfume Black Edition
Our standard MOBIfume units have a durable white powder-coating. In addition to the standard white version, we also now offer the MOBIfume Black Edition with a high quality black coating.
Users who have worked with cyanoacrylate before know that it doesn’t just stick to evidence, it sticks to equipment too. If this isn’t removed, it can contaminate other evidence it is used to help treat, and it can cause equipment to wear down quickly and malfunction over time. We know this is important, so in addition to making sure all our MOBIfume units can be easily dismantled and cleaned without tools, this special black coating on MOBIfume Black is resistant to cyanoacrylate adhering to it.
This means any cyanoacrylate residue that does settle on the surface of the equipment can be easily wiped off, reducing the time and labor needed to keep equipment clean.
